SOCIAl MEDIA QUESTIONS:

+ WHAT DESIGN SOFTWARE DO YOU USE?

I use photoshop or Illustrator to design most of my designs because of its design capabilities, especially for the animated posts. Recently I have set-up clients with a CANVA account and designed posts in their program, but with your customized branding built into your profile settings. This way it allows you in the future to copy previous designs and create your own. You just let me know which you'd prefer.

+ WHAT IS AN ANIMATED POST

An animated post usually is .mov file and shows movement and sometimes the inclusion of music. Here is sample of one I did for a client.

+ WHO INITIATES THE SEND OUT?

I'll supply you with the final posts, and then it is up to you to upload and post. I recently started using Planoly App, which has been a wonder on auto-posting for the future, viewing your grid all together to visually see how it would look and great analytics. It is great especially if you are away from social media for a bit or you are trying to be.

+ WHAT DO I NEED TO SUPPLY FOR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS?

You will provide me with the copy, pictures, branding or an idea about what you want, fonts if you have your own, and any music (for animated posts). Please remember these must be your own or stock photos you have permission to use or have bought, especially for the music. We can't risk taking credit for something that is not yours. + I AM NEW AT THIS, WHAT DO I DO?

Let's get you the Starter Pack! If you have been collecting a list of contacts (bravo to you!) and you would like to start snail mailing, we'll get you signed up for an account in either MailChimp or Constant Contact and import your contacts to a list within the platform. From here we'll chat through your intentions, ideas and get started on design and you'll supply the content (copy words, pictures, any branding) for a great send out!

+ WHAT NEWSLETTER PLATFORMS DO YOU USE?

I can use either Square Spaces in-house email service (if you already use them for your website), Constant Contact or Mailchimp. I will either just need your log-in details or if you are purchasing the Starter Pack we can set you up with Constant Contact or Mailchimp.

+ DO YOU PREFER ONE NEWSLETTER SERVICE OVER ANOTHER?

If you have Square Space website, I would suggest to keep everything "in -house" with them so then you can view all your anayltics for website & newsletter in once place. Runner up goes to Mailchimp, because they too integrate with Square Space accounts and are more versatile allowing you to design them to not look like a newsletter from 1995. Third place goes to Constant Contact, they are a bit limited, clunky on their templates and usually feel very sqaure. BUT if you are already using one, then we will make it work! That's where the magic happens.

+ WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

You need to give me all the copy, including titels for sections, pictures and any other media, branding, logos that you have. If you need help sourcing photos check out: unsplash for free stock photos, stocksy offers more artsy photos or istock. I can always find pictures on your behalf and insert as I see fit depending on your content.

+ WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NEWSLETTER TEMPLATE AND POSTCARD TEMPLATE?

Newsletter template is more lengthy in content and usually will have multiple sections. A Postcard template is a one image short brief news blast. Take a look at these samples here.
